Sheila Burfield
Director and Lead Teacher

 

Sheila began her early childhood career here at Precious Is the Child as a Teacher Assistant 14
years ago.  Since then she has worked in various early childhood settings in many capacities
including Co~Teacher, Teacher, and Director.  She holds an Associate of Science Degree in
Liberal Arts and Child Development from Rochester Community and Technical College and is
currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Concordia University, St.
Paul. She has enjoyed many different experiences over the years and has learned so much
from all the families she has served and colleagues she has worked with. It is with great
pleasure that she returns to Precious Is the Child!  Sheila resides in Chatfield with her husband
and in the summer time her two college aged children.
 

Jan Dale
Assistant Teacher

Jan Dale graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul, with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education with an early childhood concentration.  Previously she has taught kindergarten, preschool, and has been employed as an in-school aid for a special needs child.  She and her husband enjoy gardening and traveling to visit their three grown children.
